The Tschuggen Collection is delighted to announce that Hotel Eden Roc will be under new management as of June 2025. Markus Tauss will relocate from the Engadine to Ticino and the Hotel Eden Roc will gain a passionate hotel manager with a wealth of experience in the international hospitality industry. Markus Tauss will also become the youngest member of the Tschuggen Collection management team.
He initially joined the Tschuggen Collection in 2013 and 2014 at its flagship property, the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa. A native of Stuttgart, he previously held positions with InterContinental and the Ritz-Carlton Group in various locations. After his time with these international brands, he returned to Germany to serve as hotel manager at Schloss Elmau Luxury Spa, Retreat & Cultural Hideaway.
The 37-year-old is now looking forward to the responsibility of leading the newly renovated Hotel Eden Roc into the upcoming summer season. I am excited about my new role in Ticino and eager to work with the team to ensure that the Hotel Eden Roc remains one of the best holiday hotels in Europe,” he said. Markus Tauss will take over the management of the Lake Maggiore property on 1 June 2025 from Simon Spiller, who has passionately managed the Hotel Eden Roc for the past five and a half years, but left at his own request at the end of February 2025.
